helping people ~ feel good in their bodies ~

Meet Felicia (she/her)

I am passionate about helping people feel good in their bodies by accessing their body’s innate goodness through rest and movement. The sense of goodness thrives in spaces that allow us to tune into our unique intuition and inner wisdom about our bodies.

I am here as a space holder with offerings that hopefully encourage curiosity, self-compassion, and foster reembodiment.

My personal healing journey with the sacred practice of yoga started in 2009, though it wasn’t until 2021 that I became a registered yoga teacher whilst pursuing my undergraduate degree in embodied ecopsychology. I am currently a graduate student studying clinical mental health counseling. These studies all intersect and informed the design of The Rest Practice.

I am on a continual journey of understanding my intersectionality and privilege, and how these inform the way I hold space. I am a person of color (or, as Britt Hawthorne says, “person of the global majority”) with Indigenous Mexican and French ancestry. My intersecting identities include being a cisgender, queer woman who is outwardly able-bodied with an invisible chronic disorder. I am also a single mother to two wonderful humans who encourage me to stay curious and playful.

Bon Iver’s album “Sable, Fable” & “Mother’s Love” by The Vernon Spring

What I’m (re)watching:

Ted Lasso (bringing belly laughs & hand-over-heart moments)
